Creating places where belonging grows.
Intentional Happiness Collective is a new community initiative contributing to reducing loneliness and social isolation among adults through creativity, conversation and meaningful connection.
Nobody should face life alone.
“You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. We are creating a place where people can connect, belong and grow.”
Belonging should not be a luxury.
Loneliness can affect people at any stage of adult life. It can happen after relationship changes, becoming a parent, moving area, working differently, caring for others or simply feeling disconnected despite being surrounded by people.
Intentional Happiness Collective exists to create welcoming, inclusive spaces where adults can meet others, share experiences, explore creativity and build confidence to participate in community life.
Belonging by design.
We are not a counselling service, therapy provider or crisis service. We are a creative community belonging programme designed to complement existing local support.
Welcome
People are greeted warmly and never left to feel invisible.
Connect
Conversation, shared activities and familiar faces help relationships grow naturally.
Create
Writing, reading, art, storytelling and reflection make connection easier.
Contribute
Members can help shape the Collective and, over time, support others.
A careful six-month beginning.
Our first pilot will be intentionally small, evidence-informed and shaped by local people.
Who it is for
Adults aged 25–49 in Newham who feel lonely, isolated or disconnected and want opportunities for connection, creativity and community.
What will happen
Weekly community experiences, creative activities, conversation, shared reading, journalling, games, cultural outings and member-led ideas.
How we will learn
We will use light-touch feedback, recognised loneliness questions and member stories to understand whether the programme contributes to connection and belonging.
Help us build the first circle.
